Publishing house Contacts

The journal is published on the basis of FSBEI HE “Yaroslavl State Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushinsky.”

In 1908 the opening of the teacher’s institute (Yaroslavl State Pedagogical University used to be called in the past) contributed to the revitalization of scientific thought in Yaroslavl, therefore, already in the 1910-s the publication of scientific, educational and pedagogical journals was started on the basis of the institute by teachers and university teachers. The authors of the scientific publications of these journals actively collaborated in other educational journals of the Yaroslavl and Moscow provinces. Thus, the magnificent scientific potential of Yaroslavl scientists, together with the acquired publishing experience, were fundamental for the creation of the editorial and publishing department of the university.

Since the opening of the printing and publication department, the university’s publishing activity has never stopped. Even during the Great Patriotic War, despite the difficulties, the publishing house continued to work and improve editorial and publishing skills. In 1943-1945, the university issued five volumes of “Scientific Notes.” These were collections of articles on mathematical, natural-geographical, pedagogical and other disciplines, where 64 articles were presented. Six popular science brochures were published during that period.
Nowadays in the publishing portfolio of the editorial department of YSPU named after K.D. Ushinsky annually there are 5 scientific journals with frequency of 4 issues per year; more than 20 collections of scientific works, more than 20 monographs and more than 50 educational and methodological publications.
